[Hiring] Consultant, Performance Improvement @Nordic Healthcare Group (NHG)

Role Description

Performance Improvement (PI) Practice within Nordic’s Strategic Advisory Services (SAS) is responsible for helping healthcare organizations address some of their most challenging strategic, clinical, and operational problems for clients across the healthcare ecosystem.

Members within our PI project teams wear multiple hats to deliver quality work, including:

• Building insightful data analyses
• Gathering requirements
• Mapping workflows
• Designing use cases
• Researching the latest changes impacting the healthcare industry

As such, our Consultants are expected to:

• Think creatively and support the delivery of a wide range of strategic initiatives
• Have strong communication and collaboration skills as they work closely with client end-users, technical developers, clinical providers, and senior leadership
• Demonstrate qualitative and quantitative management consulting skills

With guidance and mentorship from project and practice leadership, the Consultant role provides individuals with extensive opportunities to gain experience across clinical, financial, patient experience, and technical solutions sought after within the healthcare industry to improve wellness and care for all.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference in data sciences, finance, business, healthcare administration or related field
• 2+ years of experience in the healthcare industry (e.g., healthcare organization, consulting) preferably within the revenue cycle space such as registration/patient access, HIM, coding, revenue integrity or billing/follow-up/denials management

• Strong communication skills and collaborative work style
• Creativity and critical thinking in solving complex problems
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Ability to balance multiple assignments at the same time
• Attention to detail and able to quickly pivot assignments based on changing priorities
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Prefer experience working within Epic
• Demonstrated knowledge using some of the following tools:
• GenAI Assistants (CoPilot)
• Analytical (PowerBI, Tableau)
• Programming languages (SQL, Python)
