Role Description

The Commercial Auto & Liability Claims Adjuster is responsible for the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of assigned commercial auto liability claims across multiple national accounts. This role manages claims from assignment through final resolution while ensuring compliance with Corporate Claim Standards, client-specific handling instructions, and applicable state laws.

• Handle a caseload involving first-party property damage, third-party property damage, bodily injury, total loss exposures, subrogation opportunities, and select litigated matters.
• Claims primarily arise from commercial vehicle operations within the construction, agriculture, and municipal sectors.
• Independently manage claims from inception through closure.
• Conduct thorough investigations, evaluate liability and damages, and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Consistently deliver high-quality claim outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial auto, liability, or multi-line claims handling experience.
• Active homestate adjusters license is required.
• Experience managing claims from investigation through final resolution.
• Experience handling:
  • Commercial Auto Liability Claims
  • Bodily Injury Claims
  • First-Party Property Damage Claims
  • Third-Party Property Damage Claims
• Strong liability investigation and claim evaluation skills.
• Experience establishing reserves and negotiating settlements.
• Experience managing attorney-represented claims.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and diary management abilities.
• Ability to independently manage a full claim inventory.
• Active Adjuster License or Designated Home State (DHS) License required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain additional licenses as required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Reliable attendance during established business hours.

Requirements

• Prior TPA experience.
• Litigation management experience.
• Commercial trucking, construction fleet, agriculture, or municipal fleet claim experience.
• Experience handling subrogation and total loss claims.
• Multi-jurisdiction claim handling experience.
• General Liability experience.
• Premises Liability experience.
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency is helpful but not required.
