[Hiring] Claims Adjuster @Steadily

Role Description

Steadily is hiring a contracting Claims Adjuster who is the very best at what they do. You’ll be (virtually) surrounded by team members who are the best at what they do, which will just make you even better. You’ll be responsible for guiding our customers through the claims process with empathy, accuracy, and speed, making sure we create a fast, easy, and effortless experience.

• Adjust assigned desk claim files through resolution in accordance with applicable claims-handling regulations and program guidelines.
• Request appraisals, estimates, cause & origin reports, and various other reports to assist in the investigation of the claim.
• Communicate with customers using their preferred channel of communication (phone, text, email, mail).
• Review estimates and reports and issue payments as owed under the policy contract.
• Adjust claim files with extremely high quality, exceeding the expectations of internal/external auditor security, including ample documentation, regular diary entries, and quality application of coverage and compliance with all claims related laws and regulations.
• Write exterior estimates with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience adjusting P&C Insurance claims.
• Possess an adjuster license.
• Experience in homeowners, condo, or landlord insurance is required.
• Xactimate experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable on 3rd party claims and 1st party litigation is a plus.
• AIC and/or ARM is a plus.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of standard claims practices, estimating, claims processes, coverage application, subrogation, SIU, and everything in between.
• Bonus if you have experience in subrogation, fraud investigation, or property damage estimating.
• Above average computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly.
• Self-driven and able to manage a large workload with minimal oversight.
• Desire to roll up your sleeves and hustle, not looking for a traditional 9-5 job.

Requirements

• Independent contractor engagement (1099). This is not an employment position.
• Contractors are not eligible for Steadily employee benefits, and no conversion to employment is implied.
