Role Description

To independently deliver accurate, timely and high-quality CP-Audit and CP-Draw services by combining established CP-Desk expertise and traditional vetting and drafting techniques with AI-enabled tools.

• The role is responsible for maintaining nil-quality-return standards.
• Supporting junior specialists and strategic accounts.
• Actively identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency and maximise the effective use of AI within CP-Desk operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification in shipping/maritime operations, such as ICS or an equivalent recognised maritime qualification, would be an advantage.
• Strong working knowledge of Charter Party and post-fixture operations, supported by relevant professional training or practical industry experience.
• Digital and AI proficiency, with the ability to effectively use AI-enabled tools for document review, drafting, analysis and process improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Charter Party processing, vetting, drafting, chartering operations or a closely related maritime commercial operations function.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on CP-Desk or equivalent Charter Party experience, with demonstrated ability to independently handle CP audits, CP drafting/draws, strategic accounts and quality-critical processing.
• Experience working with AI-assisted document processing, automation or digital maritime workflows would be advantageous, particularly where the candidate has contributed to process improvements or efficiency gains.

Job Responsibilities

• Daily Productivity: Independently delivers a daily target of minimum 3 CP-Audits and 3 CP-Draws or equivalent, using a combination of AI-assisted tools and traditional CP vetting and drafting techniques while maintaining accuracy and turnaround expectations.
• Training and Development: Cross train employees in various styles of CPs to ensure smooth flow of work to cover leaves and absenteeisms.
• Strategic Account Management: Independently manages a minimum of two strategic accounts, taking ownership of their CP requirements, priorities, quality, turnaround times and customer-specific processes.
• AI Utilisation & Process Improvement: Demonstrates the ability to work effectively around AI models, identify their limitations and provide practical feedback to improve prompts, workflows and outputs. Proactively identifies opportunities for process optimisation, automation and efficiency gains within CP-Desk operations.
