Role Description

The Calendar Availability Assistant is responsible for maintaining accurate calendar availability information to ensure colleagues can confidently respond to customer requests. Key responsibilities include:

• Entering approved availability changes and comparing them with existing entries.
• Flagging overlaps and seeking confirmation for unclear requests before making changes.
• Updating availability blocks based on staff unavailability notifications.
• Maintaining a legible record of changes without filling the calendar with unexplained notes.
• Providing factual answers to internal questions regarding calendar availability.
• Ensuring accurate availability to prevent customers from being offered unavailable times.

Qualifications

• Experience using a digital calendar for school, volunteering, a club, or another job is helpful.
• Basic written English and computer use skills are important.

Requirements

• Ability to distinguish a day from a date and notice time-zone labels.
• Willingness to ask about conflicting instructions.
• Comfortable reading dates and times carefully.
• Ability to manage tasks as a series of small items while maintaining accuracy.
• A home office area suitable for focused computer-based work.
