Role Description

This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.

The Business Systems Automation Specialist will identify, design, and implement AI-powered solutions that improve business operations across customer service, production, procurement, inventory management, and internal workflows. This role will serve as the bridge between business operations and technology, analyzing inefficient processes, translating business needs into technical solutions, and independently executing automation projects from concept through implementation.

The initial priority will be improving customer service operations by reducing manual order processing, minimizing unnecessary customer back-and-forth communication, and exploring solutions such as AI-powered workflows, customer portals, and automated order processing systems.

Location: Fully Remote | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST

Key Responsibilities

• AI Automation & Process Analysis
  • Analyze existing business workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities.
  • Partner with internal teams to understand operational challenges and recommend practical AI solutions.
  • Review customer service, production, procurement, and inventory workflows to identify areas where automation can create the greatest impact.
  • Translate business problems into technical requirements and implementation plans.
  • Prioritize automation initiatives based on business impact, efficiency gains, and scalability.
• AI Workflow Development & Implementation
  • Design, build, and implement AI-powered workflows to automate repetitive business processes.
  • Create automation solutions using AI tools, APIs, integrations, and workflow platforms.
  • Develop solutions that reduce manual administrative work and improve operational efficiency.
  • Continuously improve automation systems based on business feedback and performance.
• Customer Service Automation
  • Evaluate opportunities to streamline customer service operations and reduce manual order processing time.
  • Design solutions that reduce unnecessary customer communication.
  • Explore customer portals, AI assistants, automated workflows, and self-service systems.
  • Improve the efficiency of customer service representatives by reducing repetitive tasks.
• Systems Integration & Technical Implementation
  • Work with existing business systems and technology platforms to create connected workflows.
  • Support integrations between software platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal developers and technical teams when deeper engineering support is required.
  • Understand existing system architecture and recommend improvements.
• Automation Project Ownership
  • Own automation initiatives from discovery through implementation.
  • Create project plans, define requirements, test solutions, and measure results.
  • Independently manage projects without requiring heavy supervision.
  • Document workflows, automation processes, and technical solutions.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to leadership.
• AI Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Stay current with emerging AI tools, automation platforms, and industry best practices.
  • Identify new opportunities where AI can improve business operations.
  • Recommend technologies and approaches that increase efficiency.
  • Help establish a long-term AI automation roadmap across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automation, software development, business systems, AI implementation, solutions architecture, or a related technical role.
• Experience independently managing technical projects from start to finish.
• Experience analyzing business processes and translating them into technical solutions.
• Experience implementing automation solutions in operational environments.
• Experience with manufacturing, production, inventory, or order management systems is highly preferred.

Skills

• Strong understanding of AI tools, automation platforms, and workflow systems.
• Experience building integrations between software platforms.
• Familiarity with APIs, databases, and system architecture.
• Ability to perform light-to-moderate coding or scripting using Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, AI agents, and automation platforms.
• Experience with workflow automation tools such as Zapier, Make, n8n, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar ERP systems is preferred.
• Experience integrating CRM platforms such as HubSpot is preferred.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Magento is preferred.
• Ability to independently own projects and connect technical solutions to measurable business outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to proactively identify automation opportunities.
• Ability to collaborate with leadership, operations teams, and developers.
