[Hiring] Brand & Supplier Data Specialist @Enky

Role Description

We are building toward 95% automated product encoding: thousands of products live in days, not months. We have around 50 live brands, 20+ in the pipeline and thousands of SKUs in the backlog. Automation only scales if the data and rules feeding it are clean, and that is the job.

Today our Catalogue Owner, Andy, carries both the running catalogue work and the encoding standard behind our AI programme. You take the first off his plate so the second can run at full speed. Encoding itself stays with our outsourced partner and our automation.

You own what goes in (brand and supplier data, brand rules) and what comes out (the quality gate on every batch). You join the Product team, reporting to Markus (Head of Product) and working day to day with Andy.

Two ways in: a permanent role, or a 6-month contract (freelance or fixed-term) that can convert to permanent.

What You’ll Do

• Onboard brands, one schema each. Turn every brand’s catalogue, price list, variants and surcharges into an encoding schema, decided once and reused on every product. 20+ brands are already queued.
• Write the rules the machines run. Draft the brand-specific rules our engineers automate, and help Andy shape the encoding standard itself.
• Own the quality gate. Run the day-to-day relationship with our encoding partner (priorities, workload, follow-up) across new, vintage and second-hand products. You accept or reject batches against the standard yourself, no escalation needed; only cases the standard doesn’t cover go up.
• Run intake. Own the request channel from Sales, Ops and Marketing: what information is required, turnaround times, and triage. You move requests that don’t meet the agreed urgency criteria into the normal queue.
• Keep supplier data clean in Odoo. Complete vendor records (contacts, VAT, discounts, lead times, supplier references), and maintain the Brand Master List and the consolidated product list.
• Close the loop. Chase tech on stuck encoding items, check translations, handle routine corrections, and generate SKUs for logistics until Odoo does it automatically.

You will be judged on two numbers: the defect rate at acceptance on brand batches, and the time from request to product live.

Qualifications

• You have product data, catalogue or PIM experience across many brands or suppliers, and you’ve tamed dozens of formats along the way.
• You look at a messy supplier price list with nested variants and surcharges and see a clean, structured schema.
• You write rules precise enough for an engineer to automate without coming back with questions.
• You have managed an outsourced team or vendor against quality criteria, and you held the line when batches fell short.
• You protect the queue: you can say “this isn’t urgent” to Sales, kindly and with reasons.
• Strong spreadsheet skills and hands-on ERP or PIM experience. Odoo is a plus.
• Nice to have: furniture or interiors background, experience with AI-assisted data tooling, French.
