Role Description

As we continue to scale our global platform, the Athlete Relations Associate, Signings will play a critical role in coordinating and executing athlete memorabilia signings and events across the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and beyond.

Fanatics Commerce is seeking a detail-oriented and relationship-driven Athlete Relations Associate, Signings to support the planning and execution of athlete memorabilia signings and events. This individual will serve as a key point of contact between internal departments, external vendors, and athlete representatives—managing everything from product flow and event logistics to expense tracking—while representing the Fanatics brand with professionalism and enthusiasm in a fast-paced, travel-heavy environment. The Athlete Relations Associate, Signings delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in sports, events, relationship management, or a related field, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with high-profile athletes, agents, and internal stakeholders.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask, problem-solve, and make sound decisions under time-sensitive conditions.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage relationships with high-profile individuals with discretion and professionalism.
• Deep knowledge of the sports landscape, including familiarity with the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and related athlete and team ecosystems.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of the time for partner meetings, signings, and events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, stand 8–12 hours per day at events, and walk several miles at off-site venues as required.

Requirements

• Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across departments to align on signing logistics, product flow, and contract asset tracking throughout the athlete partnership lifecycle.
• Serve as a reliable and proactive liaison between athlete agents, team representatives, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and consistent follow-through at every stage of the signing process.
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture by bringing energy, flexibility, and a solutions-oriented mindset to every project and event.
• Lead and support the on-site execution of athlete memorabilia signings and events that create authentic, memorable fan experiences.
• Coordinate athlete virtual appearances and event activations that extend fan engagement beyond physical touchpoints.
• Ensure every signing and event interaction reflects the Fanatics brand with the highest standard of professionalism and enthusiasm, directly shaping how fans experience their favorite athletes.
• Manage athlete requests and product logistics to ensure the right items are available and accounted for, delivering a seamless experience from pre-event preparation through post-event follow-up.
• Identify and implement process improvements across signing logistics, product tracking, and event coordination to drive efficiency and reduce friction.
• Adapt quickly to an ever-changing schedule and shifting priorities, developing creative solutions to time-sensitive challenges in the field and office.
• Leverage digital tools and platforms to maintain accurate records, track contract assets, and reconcile expense reports with precision and speed.
• Bring a proactive mindset to anticipating obstacles—whether logistical, relational, or operational—and resolving them before they impact athlete or fan experience.
• Own end-to-end execution of assigned athlete signings and events, including pre-event preparation, on-site management, and post-event follow-up and reconciliation.
• Maintain meticulous records across all signing-related activities, including expense reports, product inventories, and contract asset tracking.
• Represent Fanatics at events with extensive travel, including nights, weekends, and holidays, demonstrating reliability and a relentless commitment to execution excellence.
• Handle physical event demands—including lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, standing 8–12 hours per day, and walking several miles at off-site venues—with professionalism and stamina.
