[Hiring] Accounting Manager @Compliance Holdings

Role Description

The Accounting Manager is a key member of the Finance team and reports directly to the Controller. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, supporting monthly and annual reporting processes, and maintaining strong internal controls. The ideal candidate combines technical accounting expertise with leadership skills and a continuous improvement mindset to help drive operational excellence across the organization.

• Oversees core accounting functions, including:
• Analysis of business transactions
• Preparation and review of journal entries
• Management of the month-end close process
• Financial reporting support
• Account reconciliations
• Financial data analysis
• Ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Provides leadership and mentorship to a small accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Requirements

• Strong current knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proven ability to apply broad conceptual judgment and initiative to deal with complex accounting issues.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Solid ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Solid ability to organize, manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines and follow up to ensure completion/resolution.
• Computer proficiency required, especially as related to MS Office Suite and NetSuite.
• Must be open to taking on new duties and projects; flexibility is required.
• Ability to function in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment

• Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week, following an agreed-upon schedule.
