[Hiring] Assistant Service Technician @Lippert Components

Role Description

The Assistant Service Technician position performs their work offsite at our customer’s facilities, with varying work environments and potential exposures to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee may be occasionally exposed to extreme weather conditions, and the noise level in the work environment may be loud.

• Assists Service Tech to serve existing accounts by:
  • Analyzing work orders
  • Planning daily travel schedule
  • Investigating complaints
  • Conducting tests
  • Resolving problems
• Establishes service by:
  • Studying system requirements
  • Ordering and gathering components and parts
  • Completing installation
  • Performing acceptance tests
• Maintains rapport with customers by:
  • Examining complaints
  • Identifying solutions
  • Suggesting improved methods and techniques
  • Recommending system improvements
• Keeps personal equipment operating by:
  • Following operating instructions
  • Troubleshooting breakdowns
  • Maintaining supplies
  • Performing preventive maintenance
  • Calling for repairs
• Documents service and installation actions by:
  • Completing forms, reports, logs, and records
• Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential
• Updates job knowledge by:
  • Participating in educational opportunities
  • Reading professional publications
• Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or related associates degree
• One to three years related experience and/or training
• Ability to read and interpret documents
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form

Work Environment

• Employee is regularly required to walk, sit, stand, bend, lift, and move continually during working hours
• Subject to lifting over 50 pounds
• Position can involve sitting for various periods of time, and also requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching throughout the day
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position, expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend work may be necessary at times

Travel

• This position will require the individual to travel 100% of the time within the Tampa Bay / Sarasota-Bradenton Region
• Territory includes Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, Lakewood Ranch, and Palmetto area

Pay Rate

• Pay Rate: $21.00-$25 per hour

Preferred Education and Experience

• Manufacturing/industry experience
