Role Description

This position involves coordinating the production of client materials and maintaining positive customer relations throughout the manufacturing process.

  • Engage customers to gather job requirements and translate them into detailed manufacturing/kitting instructions and shipping/postal instructions.
  • Make suggestions to customers regarding workflow/process improvements to maximize benefits.
  • Provide quality review for other Account Specialists to ensure accuracy before production.
  • Ensure job instructions are entered and verified in manufacturing or procurement systems.
  • Confer with customers throughout production to keep them informed and coordinate changes.
  • Forward/review proofs with customers and obtain approval of materials.
  • Coordinate production of components with internal plants and/or external vendors.
  • Resolve customer or manufacturing issues related to jobs.
  • Engage appropriate departments to verify issues and determine root causes.
  • Communicate with customers regarding issue resolutions.
  • Provide pre-sales support and discuss manufacturing capabilities with customers.
  • Monitor job progress throughout production and ensure final products meet requirements.
  • Tally final production runs and prepare paperwork for billing.
  • May mentor junior staff or work on special projects.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of relevant administrative/operational support in manufacturing operations or office environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of functional area(s) related to the job.
  • May provide oversight of work conducted by junior staff and/or review/audit work for accuracy.
  • Advanced knowledge of technology, including MS Office or MAC word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
