[Hiring] Client Development Specialist @Somewhere

Role Description

Our client is seeking a proactive, relationship-driven Remote Client Development Specialist to grow and deepen client partnerships while ensuring the seamless delivery of locum tenens staffing solutions. In this role, you will combine client relationship management, account coordination, and business development support to manage the full lifecycle of assigned client accounts. You will work closely with internal recruiters and operations teams to present qualified medical provider candidates, manage scheduling calendars, and drive account expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, building trust-based relationships through consistent remote communication and virtual check-ins.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client's staffing needs, workflows, and operational priorities to proactively surface tailored workforce solutions.
  • Present specialized staffing solutions and value propositions to current and prospective clients in a clear, consultative manner.
  • Support the negotiation and execution of service agreements in alignment with company policies and maintain accurate account documentation.
• Account Management & Program Execution
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of assigned accounts—from client onboarding through ongoing program delivery—ensuring an exceptional service experience.
  • Relay provider job requirements to internal recruiters, receiving and presenting qualified candidate submittals to clients in a timely, professional manner.
  • Manage account details within internal VMS platforms and oversee assignment scheduling calendars, extension requests, and coverage gap resolutions.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Finance to ensure timesheets are collected on time, billing/invoicing is accurate, and providers start on schedule.
• Growth & Reporting
  • Identify organic upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts to expand service utilization.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for strategic accounts, presenting service delivery insights and performance trends.
  • Monitor key account metrics, track client satisfaction, and consistently meet established revenue and activity goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2–3+ years of experience in account management, client relations, or program coordination within agency staffing or healthcare solutions.
• Proven track record of managing multi-account portfolios, building client trust, and delivering high-quality customer service.
• Excellent consultative communication, active listening, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Full alignment with US working hours as a remote independent contractor.

Preferred

• Direct experience in healthcare staffing, locum tenens, or clinical recruitment workflows.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, TargetRecruit) and Vendor Management Systems (VMS).
• Demonstrated ability to navigate account challenges calmly and resolve operational bottlenecks cross-functionally.
