As our full-time Content Marketer / Writer / Storyteller, you'll be the wordsmith behind our growth, crafting compelling narratives that resonate with municipal leaders and tech enthusiasts alike.

As our Content Marketer / Writer / Storyteller, you'll be at the heart of our communication strategy. Here's a glimpse of what your role will entail:

• Craft engaging weekly newsletters that keep our subscribers informed and excited about the latest in digital government solutions.
• Write thought-provoking weekly or bi-weekly blog articles that position us as thought leaders in the GovTech space.
• Collaborate directly with the CEO (that's me again!) to develop compelling content strategies and bring our vision to life.
• Create case studies that showcase the real-world impact of our solutions, turning complex technical achievements into relatable stories.
• Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice across all our communication channels.
• Research and stay up-to-date with the latest trends in municipal technology and digital governance.
• Optimize content for SEO to increase our online visibility and reach.
• Attend weekly sales meetings to align content with our business goals and gather insights from customer interactions.
• Help write landing pages + email sequences for the various campaigns we'll create.

Your success will be measured by:

• Increase in newsletter engagement rates
• Growth in blog traffic and time spent on page
• Number of leads generated through content marketing efforts
• Improvement in our search engine rankings for key terms

• Have an amazing way with words that would make Shakespeare jealous
• Already be an experienced content marketer with at least 3 years of experience in writing newsletters, articles, and case studies
• Someone who can explain complex tech concepts as easily as describing your favorite ice cream flavor
• A self-starter who thrives in a remote work environment and isn't afraid to bring new ideas to the table
• A curious mind with a passion for learning about technology and its impact on society
• A team player who can collaborate effectively across time zones and cultures
• Someone who gets excited about the idea of making government services more accessible, efficient and easy to understand

• Already have previous experience working with a SaaS products
• Created customer onboarding email sequences for a SaaS product
• Helped grow readership of an industry-related newsletter
• Regularly crafted content for webinars for a SaaS
• Regularly crafted landing page copy, including lead magnets and follow up sequences for a SaaS

Requirements

• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong command of grammar and style conventions.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, including SEO and content promotion.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.
• Excellent research skills and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, engaging narratives.
• A creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and an eye for detail.
