Role Description

We’re looking for a Translation & Localization Intern to support the translation and adaptation of organizational systems, platforms, and digital content from English to Canadian French. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to major initiatives, including the roll out of a new CRM system and the development of a new national website.

This opportunity is available to current Ontario University students enrolled in a Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, French Studies, or related program.

• Translate user-facing content, system labels, forms, workflows, and communications from English to Canadian French.
• Support the French localization of CCIB’s new CRM platform and future digital systems.
• Contribute to the translation and quality review of content for a new organizational website.
• Develop and maintain terminology guides, glossaries, and translation standards.
• Review translations for accuracy, consistency, readability, and cultural relevance.
• Test translated content within systems to ensure functionality, formatting, and user experience are maintained in both official languages.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and project teams to clarify terminology and context.
• Provide recommendations to improve bilingual user experiences across systems and platforms.

Qualifications

• 4th year university student in Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, French Studies, or a related field.
• Professional-level written French (Canada) and strong English language skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to linguistic accuracy.
• Ability to adapt content for diverse audiences while maintaining meaning and intent.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in a remote environment.
• Interest in technology, digital platforms, user experience, and localization.
• Experience with terminology management or content management systems is considered an asset.
