Role Description
This role involves creating clear, accurate, and regulatory-compliant documentation that supports product development, user training, and compliance efforts.
- Create and maintain user manuals, technical guides, SOPs, and product labeling
- Translate complex veterinary device concepts into clear, concise language
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, veterinarians, and QA/regulatory teams
- Ensure documentation complies with industry regulations (FDA, ISO, etc.)
- Conduct research, interviews, and device testing to fully understand product functionality
- Assist in developing training materials and customer support documentation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of technical writing experience (preferably in medical or veterinary devices)
- Solid understanding of veterinary medicine and/or animal health technology
- Experience with regulatory documentation (FDA, CE marking, ISO standards)
- Proficiency with authoring tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, MS Office)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Life Sciences, or related field
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a veterinary or animal health setting
- Knowledge of UX writing or instructional design
- Experience with document management systems (e.g., Veeva, Confluence, SharePoint)
