Role Description
The Technical Writer / Contract Administrator will author, proofread and edit content, check drafts for consistency, clarity, relevance, and persuasiveness of the material. In addition, the Technical Writer / Contract Administrator will ensure content is well-written, accurate and compliant with the requirements of each solicitation and see the entire process through from request to delivery. The Technical Writer / Contract Administrator will also serve as backup for government and channel partner contract management as well as ensure accuracy and compliance in the development and maintenance of contracts.

Write, edit, review content ensuring a high level of quality

Utilize writing skills for varying audiences and media (RFP, email campaigns, website content, and product brochures)

Read and maintain a marketing collateral library β working with the sales team to compare and contrast RFP responses in order to create the best content

Create templates, assign Manage and serve as POC for internal/external clients for contractual matters

Provide guidance to management, legal, finance, proposal department, sales managers, account managers and other departments as requested

Regularly work distribution, with highly sensitive, restricted and confidential information

Draft, review, redline contracts for federal, state, county government agencies, channel partners, lobbyists, subcontracts, purchase orders, statements of work, RFPs, NDAs, and any other contractual document

Identify business risk and collaborate with internal/external clients for review, discussion, changes required

Suggest/recommend contract replacement language

Coordinate and communicate deadlines and attend internal/external client conference calls

Maintain a high-level technical understanding of competitive hardware and software products

Complete required government forms, review invoices for payment as needed

SAM (System for Award Management) POC for maintaining complex federal government website registration. Annual updates required

Complete and submit complex government forms

Assist in coordination with insurance company for bid bonds, performance bonds, certificates of insurance, workersβ compensation insurance, disability insurance

Ensure timely review and approval of contracts as assigned. Provide regular status summaries of contract internal approval progress

Maintain backup documentation to support signing a contract

Maintain accurate contract records and store on network and SharePoint

Ensure signed contracts are communicated to applicable internal clients to provide contract visibility and awareness

Participate in weekly conference calls

Draft and mail past due payment letters and termination letters. Ensure letters are communicated to applicable internal clients to provide visibility and awareness

Maintain ISO documents related to contracts

Created and established contract approval process

Assigned projects outside scope of contract management

Assist with vendor contracts as required

Provide C-level administration support

Collaborate to improve business processes
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum of five (5) years of experience writing sales collateral, email campaigns, and presentations

Minimum of one (1) year of contract experience
Requirements

Proficient in MSOffice (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point) and Google platform

Must have excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong oral and written communication

Ability to meet tight deadlines for high-volume contract department
