Role Description
Can you break down complex personal finance topics and help people make smart decisions about their money? Do you understand how to optimize content using SEO best practices? LendingTree is looking for a staff writer focused on our fast-paced insurance vertical to join our in-house SEO editorial team.
- Conduct SEO analysis and track article performance
- Create outlines and review insurance products and companies
- Write new articles and refresh existing content on a range of insurance topics
- Evaluate and conduct research across multiple sources of key findings
- Create articles, guides, and reviews to inform consumers about insurance products and decisions
- Capture and analyze data in Excel
- Create clear, concise content that reaches the first page of Google search results for consumer insurance questions
Qualifications
- 1-3 years writing experience as a personal finance journalist or content marketing writer, preferably in a digital environment
- Experience writing about insurance and health care industries
- Strong analytical skills and experience using Excel or Google Sheets
- A proven ability to create clear and useful content for consumers and/or small businesses
- Familiarity and experience with SEO best practices, including SEO writing and keyword research
- Outstanding writing, editing, and grammar skills with a strong commitment to accuracy and comprehensiveness
- Ability to receive and grow from constructive feedback
- Impeccable communication, time-management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Goal-oriented, growth and metrics-driven mindset
- Flexibility to adjust to an evolving role and adapt to steady change
- A great attitude and the desire to produce highest-quality personal finance SEO content
Requirements
- This is a full-time position, based in our Charlotte office
- Remote work candidates will also be considered
- Must be willing to complete a paid writing test
