[Hiring] Senior Copywriter @Gather25

Role Description

The Senior Copywriter is responsible for how Gather communicates across email, social media, campaigns, and internal channels. Every message should sound like Gather, tell the story of what God is doing around the world, and invite people to take part. The candidate we're looking for is an experienced writer who can tell a good story, understand different audiences, and make complex ideas easy to understand. You'll write approximately 10 to 15 pieces each week and work closely with our Design, Storytelling, Development, and Partnerships teams. This role requires strong writing, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional copywriting, with at least 3 writing email and social for a brand, nonprofit, or ministry where results were measured (opens, clicks, registrations, gifts)
• A portfolio with range: long-form (donor letters, nurture emails), short-form (subject lines, captions), and scripts, all holding one consistent brand voice
• Command of voice and tone, shown by adapting one message for a pastor, a donor, and a first-time follower without losing the voice
• Uses audience insight and performance data in HubSpot or a similar platform (segments, A/B tests, click and conversion reports) to shape and sharpen copy
• Tells real stories from the field with dignity and accuracy across cultures, and writes plainly enough to translate well
• Personal, thriving relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with Gather's mission

• Classification: Full time, Exempt

Logistics

• Full-time employee, 40 hrs/week
• Remote employment, with a minimum of quarterly travel required for All Team retreats and key events
