[Hiring] Senior Copywriter @Oceans

Role Description

As a Senior Copywriter, you will join a fast-growing digital operations team within a dynamic beauty and hair-care brand expanding its reach across LATAM. Operating as part of a high-output creative unit, you will be responsible for producing consistent, performance-oriented content across paid advertising, organic social, lifecycle marketing, and e-commerce touchpoints.

In this high-impact role, you will take ownership of maintaining a clear, honest, reassuring, and knowledgeable brand voice. You will balance creative narrative execution with compliance rigor, ensuring all customer-facing communications accurately align with established beauty and hair-care product claim guidelines while driving conversion across digital channels.

Accountability

As a Senior Copywriter, your success will be defined by your ability to maintain brand voice consistency, drive engagement and advertising effectiveness, and deliver compliant, high-converting copy across channels. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

Brand Voice & Editorial Compliance

• Maintain a consistent brand voice across all customer-facing communications, ensuring messaging remains honest, reassuring, and knowledgeable.
• Translate creative briefs into compelling, audience-appropriate copy while maintaining standardized terminology and brand messaging.
• Review and refine all written assets for clarity, grammar, tone, and editorial accuracy.
• Ensure copy complies strictly with applicable product-claim requirements, identifying and escalating potentially problematic claims for review.

Paid Advertising & Performance Copywriting

• Write high-converting digital advertising copy, attention-grabbing headlines, and creative messaging concepts.
• Produce weekly advertising copy variations and short-form video scripts to support ongoing campaign iteration.
• Incorporate performance learnings, including ad CTR, hook rates, email click rates, and conversion insights, to refine messaging and develop new copy variations.

Short-Form Video Scripts & Creator Briefs

• Develop scripts and opening hooks for short-form video, creator, and user-generated content (UGC).
• Draft comprehensive brief copy and messaging concepts to guide creators and video editors in high-volume production environments.
• Translate approved concepts into multiple executable hook and script variations.

Lifecycle Email & SMS Copywriting

• Develop engaging email and SMS copy for retention programs, promotional events, and customer lifecycle campaigns.
• Write compelling subject lines, preview text, call-to-action buttons, and targeted SMS messaging.
• Adapt messaging for distinct customer segments to support lifecycle engagement and improve click rates.

Product Detail Pages & Marketplace Listings

• Write, refresh, and optimize product detail page (PDP) copy across direct-to-consumer and marketplace sales channels.
• Craft persuasive, compliant copy for Amazon and TikTok Shop listings to communicate product benefits clearly.
• Improve listing structure, readability, and customer understanding to support conversion rate goals.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Native-level or C2-equivalent English proficiency with proven professional copywriting experience in DTC, e-commerce, beauty, or hair-care brands.
• Tools/Systems: Experience utilizing AI-assisted tools for copy ideation, research, and variation generation paired with strong independent editing judgment; familiarity with marketplace platforms like Amazon and TikTok Shop.
• Analytics/Process: Strong background in writing compliant product claims, evaluating performance metrics (ad CTR, hook rate, email click rate, PDP conversion), and executing rapid copy turnarounds under tight timelines.
• Mindset: Highly responsive to feedback, detail-oriented editorial judgment, and a balanced ability to write both persuasive conversion-focused copy and reassuring, educational product content.
