[Hiring] Senior Content Marketer @Animalz

Role Description

We're looking for a Senior Content Marketer: an exceptional writer with the editorial judgment to own content quality for the customers they serve. This is a writing-first role. About 70% of your time will be spent researching and writing content yourself—work that calls for real research, original thinking, and craft.

On the Enterprise & Campaigns team, that writing spans various formats:

• Thought leadership that gives leaders a point of view worth repeating
• Blog posts, guides, landing pages, and email sequences that carry a campaign from first touch to conversion

You'll write for some of our largest customers, whose audiences (and internal reviewers) expect work that holds up under scrutiny. The rest of your time goes to making sure everything else your accounts publish is just as good as what you write:

• Manage freelance writers who contribute to your accounts
• Keep the content calendar on track
• Review every piece before it reaches the customer
• Ensure customer feedback is acted on and remembered

You won't do any of this alone. Every account is served by a small team, and you'll work alongside teammates who own the overall strategy and the customer relationship. Your ownership is the content itself: writing much of it, and standing behind all of it.

What You'll Do

• Write high-quality content (blog posts, guides, landing pages, and more) that's genuinely worth reading, grounded in a real understanding of each customer's product and audience
• Write across the full range of campaign formats: thought leadership, blog posts, guides, landing pages, and email nurtures
• Move between registers with ease, from a long-form piece in an executive's voice to tight conversion copy on a landing page
• Review every piece your accounts deliver before it reaches the customer
• Turn a campaign plan into a coordinated set of assets that tell one story
• Help manage the freelance writers on your accounts
• Work smoothly with larger marketing teams
• Act on customer feedback quickly and thoroughly
• Communicate directly with customers about deliverables, timelines, and revisions
• Contribute to performance reporting
• Use AI tools thoughtfully
• Contribute to team knowledge-sharing and internal initiatives

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in content marketing, with at least 2 of those years in B2B SaaS
• Exceptional writing ability
• Campaign thinking
• Range as a writer
• Strong editorial judgment
• Experience working with other writers
• Customer communication skills
• Experience with larger customers
• Strong organizational skills
• AI fluency
• Technical curiosity
• Ownership and adaptability

Room to Grow

Senior Content Marketers at Animalz have real room to grow. You'll start by taking ownership of content for a small set of customers, then take on bigger and more complex accounts as you're ready. From there, many people grow into leading content strategy or managing customer relationships.

Your First Few Months

You'll spend your first weeks learning our processes and editorial standards and getting to know your accounts, writing your first pieces with plenty of editorial support. Over your first few months, you'll step into full content ownership of your first account.

Working Arrangements

• Location: Fully remote (Americas or EMEA)
• Timezone Requirements: At least 4 hours of overlap with US timezones (EST/PST)
