We are seeking seasoned Amharic Linguistic Testers with a background in software localization and IT terminology to join our global linguistic community. In this role, you will perform linguistic QA on cutting-edge software applications and AI models for the Ethiopian market.

As a Senior Amharic Linguistic Tester, you will:

Execute Linguistic QA: Conduct rigorous linguistic, stylistic, and functional testing on localized Amharic software interfaces and AI-generated content.

Bug Tracking & Reporting: Identify, log, and regress linguistic errors, visual layout glitches (e.g. truncations, rendering/font issues, alignment), and functional defects using standard issue-tracking workflows.

Terminology & Style Guide Enforcement: Ensure absolute adherence to project glossaries, style guides, and brand-specific localization standards.

Contextual & Cultural Validation: Verify that localized content is culturally appropriate, idiomatically precise, and tailored for the Ethiopian market.

Collaborate with Lead Engineers: Provide constructive feedback and linguistic solutions to remote localization managers and QA leads in clear English.
Qualifications

Professional Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in Linguistic QA, software localization testing, proofreading, or professional translation (English into Amharic).

Linguistic Proficiency: Native fluency in Amharic with exceptional command of grammar, typography, and orthography, paired with professional-level written English skills.

Hardware Specification (Mandatory): Active access to a Mac computer equipped with an Apple Silicon M-series chip (M1, M2, M3, M4, or newer).

LQA Methodology: Proven ability to differentiate between critical linguistic bugs, cosmetic layout defects, and preferential stylistic changes.

Cultural Competency: A strong, intuitive grasp of modern Ethiopian cultural nuances, localized language trends, and regional idiomatic expressions.

Technical Aptitude: Comfort navigating new software interfaces, adhering to detailed testing guidelines, and reporting technical/linguistic bugs clearly in English.
