Qualifications

Native-level proficiency in Malagasy.

A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR a graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.

The ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely.

Proven professional experience in translation and localization within marketing, UI/software, or e-commerce content.

Experience with app or platform localization (mobile UI, social media, or web content) preferred.
Requirements

Not ideal as a full-time job or primary income source.

Work availability fluctuates with project demand; as a 1099 contractor, you won't receive benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, or retirement contributions, and hours are not guaranteed.

Requires reliable availability and commitment.

Most tasks require a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week.

Geographic restrictions may apply. We cannot engage contractors in regions subject to international embargo or sanctions. As a 1099 contractor, you are solely responsible for your own tax obligations.
