[Hiring] Hindi Transcription Specialist @Mercor

Role Description

The Sonic Audit Specialist - Hindi will be responsible for evaluating AI training data in Hindi by performing the following tasks:

• Audit transcriptions and forced alignments.
• Review audio recordings and transcriptions for accuracy, applying error codes and providing rationale.
• Verify and correct segment timestamps in audio, ensuring alignment with spoken words.
• Collaborate asynchronously, maintaining high standards across judgments.
• Work independently to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance.

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• Native or near-native command of Hindi as spoken in India.
• Strong English reading and writing skills.
• Disciplined rubric application for consistent judgment.
• Experience in transcription, subtitling, localization, or linguistic annotation.
• Preferred:
• Prior AI data annotation or model evaluation experience.
• Background in phonetics or linguistics.
• Experience with audio editing or waveform tools.
