[Hiring] Grant Writing and Development Intern @TerraByte Green

Role Description

TerraByte Green is a non-profit startup based in North Carolina, focused on the intersection of digital equity and environmental sustainability. We manage e-waste responsibly by refurbishing technology to bridge the digital divide.

This is a fully remote internship, though candidates based in North Carolina, especially those local to our operating area, are preferred. You will work directly with our Founder and CEO to research funding opportunities and help build the case for support that fuels our programs. This is a hands-on opportunity to build real grant writing and nonprofit development experience.

What You Will Do

• Research grant opportunities relevant to digital equity, e-waste, and workforce development
• Draft grant applications and supporting materials
• Help build and refine a case for support and organizational narrative
• Track application deadlines and outcomes
• Support development of a simple grants calendar and pipeline

Compensation

This is an unpaid internship. Our priority is giving you real experience, mentorship, and professional material you can use to grow your career, with the goal of transitioning capable interns into paid roles as the organization's revenue grows.

Requirements

• North Carolina residency preferred, open to fully remote candidates
• Commitment of 5 to 10 hours per week for a 3-month internship
• No prior grant writing experience required. We are looking for reliability and strong writing curiosity over existing skill
• Reports directly to the Founder and CEO

There is no compensation, wage, or salary associated with this role, and no expectation of compensation, express or implied, is created by this posting or by any communication during the application or internship process.
