[Hiring] Experienced Swiss German Translators and Editors @Language Bear

Role Description

For several upcoming, high-scale projects, we are looking to hire remotely, experienced Native German (Switzerland) Translators and Editors for Logistics Projects.

• Your task includes translating (German /DE/ to Swiss German) and editing content related to the Logistics niche (battery logistics, car assembly, automotive logistics, healthcare and pharmaceuticals logistics, retail logistics, consumer goods logistics, high tech logistics, etc.).
• The role of the editor is to:
  • Check the task briefing (when it comes to content writing tasks).
  • Focus on making the text readable by assessing clarity, style, and citations.
  • Eliminate mistakes in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting.
• For translation tasks, the editor is expected to:
  • Compare the translated content with the source file.
  • Check the quality of the translated content.
• If the text doesn't meet the requirements, the editor needs to send constructive feedback to the dedicated project manager.
• You will be in touch with a project manager who will provide guidelines and support through the process.

Qualifications

• Native German speaker from Switzerland.
• Experience in Logistics-related texts with work samples is essential.
• Flawless writing skills with zero tolerance for mistakes or sloppy quality.
• Ability to commit and strictly follow deadlines as they are crucial for all projects.
• Work in a structured and methodical way and be able to follow instructions.
• Easy-going, positive, and highly-responsible character.
