Role Description

We are looking for translators with experience in English into Ukrainian for a patent translation project in the fields of Mechanics, Computer Science, and Chemistry.

• Estimated work volumes: 2,000-5,000 words

Main Duties:

• Translate patent-related content from English into Ukrainian, with original meaning conveyed in a manner that is readable and understandable to the target audience. The style adequacy is a key aspect for our client.
• Follow instructions, for example, translation process, CAT tool usage, etc.
• Communicate effectively and respond promptly in English.

Qualifications

• Native fluency in Russian
• Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the translation and/or editing of patent documents
• Proficiency in the use of CAT tools, especially with XTM
• Attention to detail
• Good availability and quick response times

Requirements

• Selected candidates will be invited to complete a translation test.
• Approved linguists will then be included in our pool of external partners, and professional details will be made available to our global Production teams.
