Role Description

UNICEF Indonesia seeks to engage an individual consultant to deliver high-quality English writing, editing, and quality assurance services over a 12-month period. The consultant will be responsible for producing agreed deliverables, including:

• Written, edited, and quality-assured communication materials based on specific requests.
• Close communication with UNICEF Indonesia’s communication section, programmes, and fundraising teams.

The consultancy will be remote, and the consultant will be required to be available during Jakarta working hours for coordination and communication.

Qualifications

• Master's university degree in journalism, communications, international relations, human rights, political science, international development, or a related technical field.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of working experience in communications and public relations in the development sector or international relations field.
• Experience in producing excellent and compelling communication materials.
• Flawless copy and outstanding writing skills, with proven experience.
• Experience in strategic communication and advocacy functions.
• Experience in developing various formats of content, such as web articles, press releases, human interest stories, and social media content.
• Experience in audience mapping/analysis and developing content strategy for various target audiences.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks without compromising quality.
• Excellent people skills and ability to work flexibly with various stakeholders.
• Experience in conducting research and translating technical language into audience-focused language.
• Fluency in English is required.
