[Hiring] Editorial Content Specialist @Turing

Role Description

Turing is looking for candidates who have solid experience in editing, content curation, or publishing, particularly at the level expected for experienced editors or media professionals responsible for maintaining editorial quality and publication standards.

In this role, you will be working on projects to help evaluate and improve AI using your editorial expertise and communication skills. No prior AI experience is required. These projects will help you learn how to leverage AI to enhance editing workflows, improve content quality, and optimize publishing operations.

What Does Day-to-Day Look Like:

• Design and solve real-world editorial and publishing scenarios to test AI reasoning.
• Write clear, structured examples covering grammar correction, tone alignment, structural editing, and content refinement.
• Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, editorial quality, and adherence to professional standards.
• Collaborate with AI researchers to strengthen model understanding of editing, writing tone, and publishing conventions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an Editor, Copy Editor, or Content Specialist in publishing, media, or communications.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
• Strong English writing, grammar, and editorial judgment skills.
• Ability to explain editing choices and language nuances clearly and effectively.

Requirements

• Strong compensation (exact amount varies by project).
• Work in a fully remote environment.
• Engagement type: Contractor assignment/freelancer, potentially full-time.
• Duration of projects: approximately 1 month (with possibility for extension).
