Role Description

Supporting the content team, you’re a jack of all trades. Part copywriter, part operational Swiss army knife, you’re a collaborative, detail-oriented teammate who can move smoothly between assignments, writing about any range of topics – from food or health to automotive or pets – in the morning to preparing files for distribution ahead of an afternoon deadline.

Key Responsibilities

• Write original copy across a variety of categories
• Prepare project files for distribution
• Maintain and implement company editorial standards
• Conduct stock photo searches
• Assist with proofing and revising copy

Qualifications

• Proficiency in grammar and AP style
• A portfolio that shows range and creativity
• A clear communicator who takes direction and asserts ideas quickly
• A self-starter who can prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in writing and editing
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, spreadsheets and database software
• Basic working knowledge of public relations, advertising, marketing, publishing, media and online industries and tactics
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Able to work well with others in a collaborative role
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable and responsive with deadlines and deliverables
