Role Description

We’re hiring an Editor-in-Chief with extensive experience in journalism, a strong understanding of the publishing industry and its changing landscape. This key role is an EQUITY position that will oversee the content strategy, manage editorial teams, and ensure high-quality content creation and production. We are looking for a managing editor who combines the innovativeness of a writer with the practical focus of an operations manager. You should be able to suggest content ideas and see them through to publication.

• Review articles and photographs/videos.
• Contribute to editorial pieces.
• Manage day-to-day operations.
• Oversee all editorial for web content and magazine.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in the publishing industry, with a focus on digital magazine publishing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven track record of successful magazine launches and multitasking.
• Publishing experience with multimedia journalism and content production.
• Extensive network within the publishing industry.
• Critical thinking and excellent communication skills.
• Proven experience in editorial leadership and content creation.
• Deep cultural competence.
• Operational excellence in scaling a brand.
• Hard-wired to experiment and adapt quickly.
• Nurtures others, especially creatives.
