Role Description

The Digital Content Writer is responsible for writing and editing creative, compelling, and engaging marketing copy that is optimized for ecommerce experiences and digital channels. This role will predominantly support the PC Express business and work cross-functionally with stakeholders while maintaining copy standards, executing creative copy, and following projects through an established workflow from concept to launch.

• Collaborate with Design and Marketing teams to create compelling content that supports overall goals and drives strong brand identity and experience. Such content will be created for various communication channels, including (but not limited to):
• Marketing emails
• Onsite marketing creative
• Digital advertisements
• Social media marketing
• Push notifications
• Print advertising
• Manage process issues with teams to ensure timelines are met and the delivery of information is efficient
• Participate in and contribute to creative meetings and reviews
• Work closely with multiple stakeholders to define the copywriting guidelines that reflect PC Express brand standards
• Continually strive to understand the business needs of each project and combine with effective, unique copy and storytelling
• Coordinate copy translation and approvals from appropriate departments
• Maintain and update ecommerce content, researching industry best practices
• Work with legal departments where applicable

Qualifications

• Exceptional English creative writing and editing skills
• Previous copywriting experience in retail, online, or ecommerce
• Strong conceptual thinking
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate with a team and work autonomously
• Ability to take direction and critique
• Ability to understand/apply/maintain brand tone of voice
• Ability to write in multiple voices, and work across multiple brands concurrently
• Bilingual (English/French) an asset (but not mandatory)

Requirements

• Remote based
• Hourly rate: $32.00 - $34.00 depending on level of experience
• Fixed Term: 4-5 month contract
• Candidates who are 18 years or older are required to complete a criminal background check.
