[Hiring] Developer Content Marketing Manager @PubNub

Role Description

We're looking for a hands-on Developer Content Marketing Manager to create technical content that helps developers discover, understand, and build with PubNub. You'll own the creation and distribution of developer-focused content, from tutorials and demos to technical articles and videos. Working closely with Engineering, Developer Relations, and Growth, you'll turn complex technical topics into useful, engaging resources and ensure they reach developers where they learn and share ideas. Success in this role means building a consistent content engine that expands our developer reach, drives meaningful engagement, and contributes to developer acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality technical content, including tutorials, articles, videos, demos, code examples, and developer guides.
• Develop and execute a content distribution strategy across developer communities and channels, including GitHub, Reddit, Discord, YouTube, newsletters, and technical publications.
• Repurpose content into multiple formats to extend its reach and effectiveness.
• Partner with Engineering and Developer Relations to understand product capabilities, developer use cases, and emerging technical trends.
• Identify content opportunities based on developer questions, search behaviour, community discussions, and product priorities.
• Build and maintain a consistent publishing and distribution calendar.
• Monitor content performance, engagement, referral traffic, and developer signups, using insights to improve results.
• Experiment with AI-assisted content workflows and emerging developer discovery channels.

Qualifications

• Experience creating developer-focused technical content for APIs, SDKs, SaaS platforms, or developer tools.
• A portfolio demonstrating hands-on creation of tutorials, technical articles, demos, or videos.
• Experience distributing technical content through developer channels and communities.
• Strong writing, editing, and technical storytelling skills.
• Technical curiosity and the ability to work effectively with engineers and technical subject-matter experts.
• Experience analysing content performance and optimising for engagement, reach, and conversions.
• Strong English communication skills and the ability to work independently in a distributed team.

Nice to Have

• Experience with API integrations, real-time applications, or developer infrastructure.
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge.
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants and how developers use LLMs to discover technical solutions.
• Experience with developer SEO, GitHub-based content, or open-source communities.
