[Hiring] Content Team Lead @Cloudtalk

Role Description

We're looking for a Content Team Lead to run the content side of our inbound machine. You'll lead a team of 6 copywriters and own what we publish, how good it is, and what it delivers in pipeline.

The machine is established and performing at the top of its class. It ranks in Google and it gets cited by LLMs (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Overviews). Your job is to keep it there and push it further. Search is changing fast, so we want someone who looks for the next challenge, not someone who wants to maintain the status quo.

What You'll Own

• Lead the team:
  • Manage, coach and grow a team of 6 copywriters: 1:1s, feedback, career development, hiring when needed.
  • Set clear expectations on output, quality and ownership, and hold the bar.
  • Build a team culture where people give and take feedback openly, and where ideas for improvement come from everyone.
• Own quality:
  • Own the editorial standard: accuracy, depth, voice, structure, and product truth.
  • Review and edit content before it goes live, and make sure the team gets better at it over time, not more dependent on you.
  • Keep content aligned with our brand voice and with how the product actually works.
  • Use AI tools in the content workflow where they raise speed and quality, without dropping the bar.
• Run the inbound machine with SEO and technical teams:
  • Work day to day with the SEO team on keyword strategy, topic clusters, briefs and content refreshes.
  • Make content win in both classic search and LLM answers (GEO / AEO): structure, entities, citations, freshness.
  • Sync with web, technical SEO and design teams on publishing, page templates, internal linking and site performance.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Sales so content reflects real customer problems and supports the buying journey.
• Plan and evaluate on OKRs:
  • Translate team OKRs into a quarterly content plan and a weekly execution rhythm.
  • Track what matters: rankings, LLM visibility, organic traffic, conversions, and pipeline created from content.
  • Review results regularly, double down on what works, and cut what doesn't.
  • Report on performance and bring a clear point of view on where to invest next.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in content for B2B SaaS, including at least a year leading writers or a content team.
• Proven track record of content that drove measurable results: traffic, conversions, pipeline.
• Strong SEO knowledge, and a real interest in how LLMs and AI search pick and cite content.
• Excellent editor in English. You can tell good from great, and explain why.
• Data-driven: comfortable with GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs/Semrush or similar, and working with OKRs.
• A builder mindset: you like a working machine, but you're always looking for what's next, and you're open to feedback on your own work.

Requirements

• Experience in telephony, VoIP, contact center, CX or sales tech.
• Experience with HubSpot CMS.
• Experience building AI-assisted content workflows.
• Additional languages.
