Role Description

We are seeking a Bilingual Coordinator, Content Creation to provide hands-on production support for our knowledge mobilization and communications work. This role is well suited to a creative doer: someone who enjoys making, building, editing, and refining content.

Working closely with the production, research, and broader SCC teams, you will help turn research and youth voice into clear, engaging, and accessible visual and multimedia assets. You will be responsible for executing content pieces across formats, supporting projects already in motion, and contributing to day-to-day production needs.

This is a practical, skill-building role ideal for someone early in their career who wants to grow their abilities in visual design, video production, and digital content creation while working on meaningful, real-world projects.

Qualifications

• Bilingualism (English and French) required
• Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., graphic design, communications, media production, journalism) or equivalent practical experience
• Foundational skills in visual design, video, and/or digital content creation
• Experience using creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow creative direction
• Comfortable working on multiple small tasks and projects at once
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and improve technical skills
• Interest in research communication, knowledge mobilization, or public-facing content
• Knowledge on accessibility standards (e.g.: AODA, WCAG, etc.) is an asset

Requirements

• Develop communication assets using strong visual storytelling techniques
• Design graphics and documents for digital and print use (e.g., reports, one-pagers, slides)
• Produce and edit videos, including filming and narrative development
• Create simple animations or visual elements for videos and digital platforms
• Assist with website content updates and layout adjustments as needed
• Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to translate research content into accessible visual and multimedia formats
• Develop content such as videos, infographics, illustrations, and presentations for varied audiences
• Apply plain-language principles and visual clarity to complex information
• Review assigned content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency with existing guidelines
• Make revisions and refinements based on feedback
• Ensure finished products meet basic accessibility and formatting standards
• Assist with social media graphics, website visuals, and basic layout work
• Adapt existing templates and brand assets for different uses

Benefits

• Salary (hiring range): $50,000 and $58,000
