[Hiring] AI Trainer - Travel Agents @Prolific Academic

Role Description

Do you love planning trips and love writing? This one's for you. We're looking for experienced US-based travel agents who also have a real appetite for writing. If putting things into words is something you enjoy rather than endure, we'd love to hear from you.

The task: take one long-term process that's central to your work as a travel agent, such as:

• Building a complex multi-destination itinerary from scratch
• Running a large group or wedding booking from first inquiry to final departure
• Talking a client through a major trip disruption
• Putting together a curated package for a niche traveler

Write it up as a detailed, honest account of exactly how it's done. Not a checklist, but a proper account, told the way a good writer tells it, with the judgment calls and instincts included.

Once you sign up, you'll complete a short, paid writing assessment (compensated at $9/h). Joining our talent pool for this project also opens the door to similar paid projects in the future. Researchers looking for your skillset tend to pay up to $20/hour.

Everything is fully remote and ad hoc, on a freelance basis, with full control over which projects you accept. Payments are made via PayPal.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a travel agent, travel consultant, or similar
• A real interest in writing, including academic writing, blogging, journaling, freelance work, or thoughtful client emails
• A preference for depth over brevity

Requirements

• Pick one task: Choose a single long-term task that's a genuine, recurring, critical part of your work as a travel agent.
• Write it thoroughly, in your own voice, from start to finish. Outlines typically run 5 to 25 pages depending on complexity.
• Stick to one task per outline, focusing on real depth on a single process.
• Include the steps, the tools and information you draw on, the decision points, and the edge cases.
