Role Description
As an Advanced Associate Content Developer, you will work collaboratively with a team of talented Content Developers to:

Create and maintain exam question databases

Edit exam questions
-
Prepare and facilitate content development meetings

Prepare exams for publication
-
Support other projects
You will be part of a high-caliber, team-oriented environment, relying on you for accuracy and efficiency with sustained detail-oriented tasks.
As a member of the Professional Certification Content Development team, you will:

Support in-person and virtual content development workshops with subject matter experts (SMEs)
-
Assist with item bank maintenance and perform exam bank account management
-
Review exam questions authored by SMEs for grammatical correctness and adherence to client style guidelines
-
Contribute to successful exam assembly, including validation and quality control checks
-
Manage a workstream of overlapping projects and complete tasks accurately and on time
Flexibility is essential when responding to multiple work requests, and the ability to work closely with a team to prioritize work and meet deadlines is extremely desirable. You will adhere to a traditional daily schedule but will also enjoy flexibility with core hours.
Primary Responsibilities:

Use proprietary item/exam development and banking software to maintain and manage test content (items) and associated elements throughout the development lifecycle

Maintain accuracy, quality, validity, style guide adherence, and Pearson standards

Audit user accounts in proprietary item/exam development and banking software
-
Perform various database maintenance, data entry, and referencing tasks
-
Understand and abide by intellectual property confidentiality and security considerations
-
Partner with clients and cross-functional teams on multiple exam programs and deliverables
-
Adhere to project schedules and manage multiple project deliverables
-
Review, edit, and manage exam content (questions) for accuracy, quality, and validity
-
Proofread content in various applications including Word, Excel, and proprietary Pearson VUE systems
-
Co-facilitate item and exam development activities with clients and their SMEs
-
Assist with preparation of workshop materials, including agendas, handouts for SMEs, and workshop summary reports
-
Ensure accuracy through established QC processes and guidelines
-
Complete validation tasks, including verification of data in spreadsheets
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree required
-
2+ years of professional office work experience preferred
-
Experience as content or test developer, related coursework, or other direct applicable experience preferred
Requirements

Passionate about quality and attention to detail (e.g., proofreading)

Ability to learn a variety of technical systems and applications

Initiative and the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting priorities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, Sharepoint, OneDrive)

Benefits

Compensation at Pearson influenced by skill set, level of experience, and specific location
-
Minimum full-time salary range is between $45,000 - $55,000
-
This position is not bonus eligible
