Role Description

The Expeditor open orders by working closely with suppliers and buyers to ensure on-time delivery of all purchase orders. This function is essential to the success of the organization as it is a critical step in the delivery of complete products to the customer. Other tasks include:

• Providing administrative and clerical support specifically related to supply chain and procurement department activities.
• Maintaining files, logs, records of invoices, purchase orders, and other supply chain related documentation.
• Maintaining information on computer systems.
• Assisting with the new vendor onboarding in our system.
• Working closely with suppliers to receive the proper documents needed for successful onboarding.
• Supporting the review of revenue data via Excel to ensure accurate reporting for material delivery.
• Assisting with setting up NDAs with suppliers for various program support.
• Assisting daily with expediting orders.
• Supporting buyers by contacting vendors to obtain prices and schedule delivery dates.
• Supporting buyers with RMA requests to ship non-confirming parts back to suppliers for rework.
• Preparing standard requests for quotations and purchase requisitions.
• Supporting the Proposal Team with quotes, hours, and various administrative tasks.
• Handling assignments requiring initiative regarding pricing revisions, order cancellations, discontinued items, acceptable substitutes, delivery date revisions, invoice discrepancies, etc.

Essential Functions:

• Ensuring delivery dates are current and obtainable in the system.
• Supporting the review of revenue data via Excel to ensure accurate reporting for material delivery.
• Closely communicating with suppliers to maintain industry best On-Time delivery standards.
• Coordinating part requirements and product needs between several internal groups including Program Management, Program Finance, Engineering, and Material Managers/Planning.
• Supporting the Proposal Team with quotes, hours, and various administrative tasks.
• Resolving invoice issues ensuring payments to suppliers on time.
• Supporting buyers with RMA requests to ship non-confirming parts back to suppliers for rework.
• Assisting with new vendor onboarding in our system.
• Assisting with NDA creations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related expeditor experience.
• Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related expeditor experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related expeditor experience.

Requirements

• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Costpoint MRP.
• Previous experience using MRP systems.
• Power BI.
