[Hiring] Principal, Strategy & BizOps @Atlassian

Role Description

Atlassian is seeking a Principal in Strategy and Business Operations (SBO) to partner directly with our Service Portfolio organisation including Service Collection, Opsgenie and StatusPage. The Strategy & Business Operations team is a high impact team that works closely with business leaders across the company. Our team takes a lead role in driving strategy, growth, and business operations.

You’ll own projects from inception to execution and delivery, ensuring that the strategies you develop are creative and offer high-quality and impactful recommendations to business partners. You’ll also be responsible for stewarding business performance against strategies and developing insight into what’s working, and what’s not.

Responsibilities

• Map fast-moving innovations in Atlassian’s Service Portfolio to impacts on company-wide priorities and roadmaps
• Drive strategic and data-driven decision-making and help inform business decisions through thorough analysis, research, and insights
• Lead and manage key operational processes to crystallize long-range planning, short and medium-term plans to get there, and OKRs/frameworks to measure the outcomes
• Own and drive business reviews to inform Service Portfolio and Atlassian’s executive team of progress against operational plans and health of key drivers of the business
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, sales, marketing, data science, and finance

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in high growth software/tech industry in BizOps and/or consulting, investment banking roles
• Comfortable with ambiguity and take a structured approach to decision-making
• Strong executive presence with excellent verbal & written communications skills
• Deep sense of ownership and a desire to run independently
• Intellectually curious and genuinely excited about technology
