Role Description
RTS is seeking a Director of Strategy & FP&A to help shape and execute the company's strategic priorities while leading its financial planning and analysis function across its global esports, live events, media, e-commerce, and partnership businesses. Reporting directly to the CFO, this highly visible, hands-on role will serve as a key strategic and financial thought partner to the CEO, Chairman of the Board, and senior leadership team on the company's most critical initiatives.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, finance, and operations, with responsibility for overseeing FP&A, including:

The Director will work closely with the CFO and business leaders to:

Connect financial performance with strategic priorities

Translate complex financial, operational, and market data into clear, decision-oriented insights and recommendations
Strategy and FP&A will serve as the analytical foundation for owning the end-to-end Board of Directors presentation process, which includes:

Financial analysis

Storyline development
-
Executive synthesis
-
Final presentation development
The Director will also anticipate the Board's questions and ensure management is prepared with the analysis and context needed to address them.
Qualifications

7+ years of experience, including meaningful experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic finance, FP&A, business operations, or a similarly rigorous strategic environment.

Advanced PowerPoint skills with demonstrated experience owning and developing executive or Board-level presentations, including storyline development, executive synthesis, and presentation design.

Strong Excel and financial/analytical modeling skills, with the ability to independently analyze data and translate findings into strategic recommendations.

Proficiency in Google Workspace, particularly Google Slides and Google Sheets, preferred.

Strong executive communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex financial, operational, and strategic information into clear messages for the Board and senior stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to bring structure to evolving business inputs, identify what matters, and develop clear recommendations.

Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate business models, growth opportunities, and investment decisions.

Ability to communicate clearly and credibly with senior executives and work effectively across functions.

High degree of ownership, intellectual curiosity, and ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial, and relatively flat organization.

Ability to balance strategic thinking with a willingness to be hands-on and drive work through execution.
Requirements

Prior management consulting experience is strongly preferred, particularly at a leading strategy consulting firm such as McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or a Big Four firm.

Experience in gaming, esports, media, entertainment, live events, technology, sports, or other adjacent industries is a plus, but not required.

Experience working in a startup, high-growth, or entrepreneurial organization.

Experience supporting Board, investor, parent-company, or ownership reporting.

Experience evaluating new businesses, markets, strategic investments, acquisitions, or partnerships.

$185,000 base salary
