[Hiring] Director of Strategy @Vital Farms

Role Description

Your Role:

• At Vital Farms, we are hiring a Director of Strategy to take on tough problems, work with the awesome crew we have across the company, and make stuff happen.

What You'll Do:

• Assess internal and external risk and opportunities; bring facts, analysis, and judgement together to identify opportunities, risks, make recommendations, and drive business decisions.
• Collaborate with the Strategy team and leaders across the organization on our Strategic Plan.
• Scope and plan projects, ensuring clarity at the start, setting goals and objectives, identifying key milestones, creating a high-level project plan, identifying risks, and setting metrics.
• Lead projects that will drive performance (financial, operational) for stakeholders.
• Conduct end-to-end problem solving, including structuring the approach, identifying key stakeholders, conducting relevant analysis, developing the "story", and providing recommendations that drive decisions and action.
• Analyze and synthesize data to develop clear recommendations.
• Leverage agentic AI to reach more robust answers, faster.
• Create clear and compelling communications for internal and external audiences.
• Be a thought partner to the Chief Strategy Officer, crew, and other leaders across Vital Farms.
• Collaborate with leaders across functions to assess opportunities and bring decisions to life.
• Drive change and continuously improve the Ways of Working at Vital Farms to operate effectively.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required. MBA or relevant Masters preferred.
• 7+ years total experience in Strategy / related work.
• Prior experience at a top tier Strategy Consulting firm, in-house strategy team, or comparable.
• Experience leading and developing others preferable.
• Ability to travel 10-20% for company meetings, team offsites, employee onboarding trips, and other business needs.
