[Hiring] System Application Architect @GlobalLogic

Role Description

As a System Application Architect, you will define, scale, and secure the connected-health ecosystem for Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM). Operating as a senior individual contributor, this role bridges the end-to-end software spectrum:

• On-device telemetry and embedded interfaces
• Streaming cloud infrastructure
• Big data pipelines
• AI/ML enablement
• Clinician/patient application platforms

Beyond core system design, you will serve as the cornerstone of technical thought leadership and governance across the organization:

• Establish modern engineering guardrails
• Lead cross-functional architecture forums
• Guide engineering teams through complex implementation cycles
• Partner closely with R&D, Product, Quality, Regulatory, and Security stakeholders
• Drive technology strategy to ensure our software ecosystem is secure, resilient, compliant, and aligned with long-term business growth

Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience
• At least 4+ years serving in a Principal Architect, Lead Architect, or Systems Architect capacity for large-scale distributed systems
• Domain Expertise: Proven track record architecting high-reliability, cloud-native platforms within MedTech, Digital Health, Biotech, or IoT device sectors
• Expert-level mastery of cloud environments (AWS or Azure), microservices, event-driven architectures, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Hands-on understanding of healthcare data security and privacy standards (HIPAA, GDPR)
• Exceptional ability to articulate complex architectural concepts to stakeholders
• Deep experience with healthcare data exchange standards (HL7, FHIR)
• Familiarity with modern data stack tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery)

Requirements

• Knowledge of applicable Cybersecurity and Privacy standards and regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)
• Knowledge of applicable medical software standards and regulations (FDA guidelines)
• DHF process understanding
• Cloud/AWS, Infrastructure/Terraform/Kubernetes experience
• System Architecture experience
• Communication with cross-regional teams in the US and CEE
• Actively contributing to architectural decisions around Platform, Embedded, Mobile apps, Cloud, APIs, backend services, and data flows
• Working closely with engineers to review designs and unblock implementation
• Contributing to effort estimation, roadmap prep, and commercial proposal for MVP delivery
