The Summer 2027 Software Engineer enGen Graduate Internship provides graduate students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience developing and modernizing enterprise healthcare technology solutions. Embedded within the DCSS application development team, the intern will contribute to:

• Application development
• API integrations
• Cloud-enabled solutions
• Modernization initiatives that support critical business and healthcare operations

The intern will collaborate with:

• Software engineers
• Architects
• Business analysts
• Product owners

Working in an Agile environment, the intern will participate in:

• Solution design
• Coding
• Testing
• Troubleshooting
• Implementation
• Technical documentation

This internship is designed for graduate students nearing completion of their degree who are interested in translating advanced academic knowledge into practical software solutions. Participants will strengthen their:

• Technical skills
• Analytical skills
• Collaborative skills

Typical responsibilities include:

• Developing and testing application components
• Supporting APIs and system integrations
• Analyzing application issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Pursuance of a graduate degree full or part-time in an accredited college or university

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field

Essential Job Functions
