Role Description

The Summer 2027 Provider Delivery Software Engineer Undergraduate Internship provides students with an opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience developing enterprise-scale software solutions that support provider-focused digital products and services across the healthcare industry. This internship is designed to develop the next generation of technology professionals through direct exposure to modern software engineering practices, agile development methodologies, cloud-based technologies, and large-scale application development.

As a member of the Provider Delivery organization, the intern will work alongside software engineers, architects, product owners, analysts, and business stakeholders to:

• Design, develop, test, and support applications that power critical provider-facing capabilities.
• Support key business functions including provider demographics, provider directories, credentialing, pricing, and provider portal experiences.

The program provides hands-on training and exposure to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including:

• Idea generation and business analysis
• Technical design
• Development
• Testing
• Implementation
• Ongoing product enhancement

Interns will gain valuable experience working in an agile environment while contributing to scalable, high-performing solutions that support providers and improve healthcare operations.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
