Role Description

Sprout Social is looking to hire a Staff Software Engineer, Web to the Engineering team.

What you’ll do:

• Write clean, performant, and maintainable code.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to other team members, including less experienced engineers.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class customer experiences.
• Participate in and conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Continuously improve the codebase by identifying areas for refactoring and optimization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with planning, building, and releasing web applications with frontend technologies (Angular or other major framework, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS).
• Strong expertise in TypeScript.
• Fluency in agentic coding workflows (Claude Code/Codex/Cursor).
• Communication and project management skills from collaborating with people across different teams and functional areas.
• Preferred qualifications include:
  • Experience building web applications with Angular, RxJS, and/or similar web technologies.
  • Experience working as a full stack engineer.
  • Experience working with Node.js or Scala.
  • Experience working in a large codebase.
  • Experience building and/or maintaining an internal UI library.
  • Business, Product, and user-oriented mindset.
