You will join a team of engineers tasked with developing the modern interfaces to replace existing legacy systems.

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain new software for internal customers from the ground up while providing a strong foundation for future development.
  • Help define the architecture, technical patterns, and engineering practices for a new platform while integrating with or extracting capabilities from legacy applications.
  • Develop backend services primarily in Python, with particular emphasis on Flask.
  • Build and integrate solutions using AWS services, including Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, and DynamoDB.
  • Maintain and improve deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure using tools such as OpenTofu and Terraform.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders to understand the product roadmap, communicate progress, identify risks, and support delivery within an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Partner with the Tech Lead and Engineering Manager to make sound technical decisions and establish scalable development practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team-wide engineering standards as the team grows.
  • Mentor junior developers on Python and engineering practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of engineering experience.
  • Deep understanding of Python (5 years+) experience in Flask is preferred.
  • Experience working in AWS particularly Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, and DynamoDB.
  • 2+ years of Salesforce experience.
  • 3+ years of experience building or maintaining deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience building clean, readable, and well documented code using modern best practices.
  • Experience working with infrastructure-as-code tools such as OpenTofu and Terraform.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment utilizing Scrum.
  • Experience collaborating with Product Owners and technical leadership to deliver work from a prioritized roadmap or backlog.
  • Strong understanding of software development, testing, code quality, maintainability, and technical documentation.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to remain organized and effective when working under pressure and managing time-sensitive deliverables.
  • A growth mindset and interest in progressing from a senior engineering role toward technical leadership.
  • A strong sense of mentorship and a willingness to support the development of other team members.
  • Experience in the financial services or lending industry is a strong plus.
  • Certification in AWS is preferred.

Benefits

  • Competitive Base Salary Range of $96,300-$154,400.
  • Annual Incentive Compensation Eligibility – Up to 10% annually.
  • Health Insurance: Comprehensive medical, dental, and employer-paid vision plans through UnitedHealthcare (UHC).
  • Flexible Spending Account: Set aside pre-tax dollars for qualified out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Lifestyle Spending Account: Employer-sponsored post-tax benefits for well-being expenses.
  • 100% Company Paid Insurances: Basic short-term and long-term disability insurance, as well as vision insurance.
  • Voluntary Insurance: Supplemental life insurance and enhanced short- and long-term disability coverage available.
