Role Description

Architects, Software Development for Chicago, IL location. Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native infrastructures. Focus on AWS cloud services, Kubernetes orchestration, and modern DevOps practices, enabling high-performance development and deployment workflows across teams.

• Architect and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS or GCP Cloud.
• Design and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications at large scale, 10s of thousands of TPS and 99.999% reliability.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing and deployment.
• Define and enforce Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) standards using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software development life cycle.
• Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or AWS CloudWatch.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance policies across cloud and container environments.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to continuously improve DevOps capabilities.
• Help mentor junior software engineers and promote a culture of automation, reliability, and scalability.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field plus 2 years of experience in software development required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field plus 5 years of progressive experience in software development also acceptable.

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $165,693/yr-$165,693/yr + benefits.

Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan.
