Role Description

Systems Architect leads the design and development of next generation internal business systems. Possesses experience in software design and development with a focus on the integration of internal business systems across multiple functional areas, notably finance/accounting, financial transaction processing, etc. This position will work with general supervision and prioritize their own work. It will also be required to transition Counties from their current software packages onto the CHEMS system.

• General knowledge of accounting and/or ERP systems is strongly preferred.
• Experience with IT infrastructure design, architecture, and integration of business applications and enterprise IT infrastructure is required.
• Experience with design and development of custom modules/solutions and the integration of these components with packaged solutions.
• Proven methodology experience for complex systems integration projects.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve deliverables on time and on budget.
• 8 or more years of experience, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Independently performs a variety of complicated tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive background in software analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation.
• Broad range of networking infrastructure knowledge and experience.
• Great communication skills and positive problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Application support for fifty-five counties within the State of Wisconsin.
• New county software installations with (virtual) one-on-one training.
• Participation in State-wide meetings to support and enhance CHEMS. A travel allowance is provided by WisDOT.
• Power Point presentations to small and large groups.
• Software and system enhancements to the existing Advanced Revelation (AREV 3.12) database system governed by the CHEMS Board of directors.
• Specialized programming dictated by BHM business needs.
• Advanced Revelation (AREV) export programs to transfer data out of CHEMS.
• WEB site updates for program changes and information.
• Travel within the State of Wisconsin on short notice.
