[Hiring] Software Developer @Lemax

Role Description

We’re growing our engineering teams and hiring .NET/C# developers at both Mid and Senior level. These positions can be done 100% remotely or as a hybrid setup out of our Zagreb or Osijek offices.

Your Role:

• You will be part of one of our product engineering teams, developing and improving components of the Lemax SaaS platform.
• As a Mid-Level Developer, you’ll independently own tasks and features, working closely with product, QA, and other internal teams, while mentoring junior colleagues.
• As a Senior Developer, you’ll additionally take the lead on complex technical initiatives, guide architectural decisions, and mentor developers across the team.
• Your work ships to real clients and matters from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design, develop, and maintain software components of the Lemax SaaS platform to defined requirements, deadlines, and quality standards.
• Analyze and translate business and client requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with internal departments and stakeholders.
• Identify and address system bottlenecks and technical debt to improve performance and team efficiency.
• Create and maintain technical documentation that supports maintainability and knowledge sharing.
• Communicate and collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and support delivery.
• Promote SDLC best practices — clean code, automated testing, code reviews, and documentation.
• Mentor and support junior colleagues while sharing technical knowledge across the team.
• Work hands-on with AI assistant and itinerary-generation features using current LLM tooling.

As a Senior Developer, you’ll also:

• Lead and deliver complex technical initiatives and projects.
• Improve and optimize system performance, stability, and scalability at an architectural level.
• Guide technical decisions and mentor developers more broadly within the team.
• Share and promote technical knowledge across the wider organization.

Qualifications

• Mid-Level (3+ years of experience):
• Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in software development, preferably on SaaS products or complex software systems.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining software solutions using C#/.NET and relational databases (MS SQL).
• Experience working within structured SDLC processes, including testing, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Preferably hands-on experience with AI/LLM tooling (OpenAI, Anthropic APIs, etc.).
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product, Implementation, Customer Support, or similar) to deliver software aligned with business and client requirements.
• Senior (8+ years of experience):
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development, ideally in SaaS product development or complex software systems.
• Experience leading complex technical initiatives, solving architectural challenges, and improving system performance or scalability.
• Ability to design and optimize complex software systems and architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM tooling (OpenAI, Anthropic APIs, etc.).
• Experience mentoring developers and guiding technical decisions within a team.
• Required at both levels:
• Strong understanding of SDLC practices, including automated testing, code reviews, and documentation.
• English working proficiency (written and spoken).
• Based in Zagreb or able to work hybrid from our Zagreb office.
• Nice to have:
• Exposure to Java development.
• Experience with profiling and monitoring tools (Kibana, New Relic).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.
