Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Software Architect to provide ongoing technical guidance and support across multiple projects and initiatives. The role involves working closely with a senior business leader, providing technical guidance across multiple projects and initiatives. As business priorities, project scope and technology environments may change over time, the candidate must be comfortable navigating unfamiliar systems, quickly understanding new business domains and adapting to evolving requirements. This is a long-term role rather than a short-term architecture assessment. The person will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping evaluate technical options, identify risks, understand complex systems and make informed technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural guidance and technical support across multiple projects and initiatives
• Analyze existing systems, architectures, and technical challenges
• Evaluate technical solutions, explain trade-offs, and recommend practical approaches
• Support technical decision-making, including architecture, technology selection, and implementation strategies
• Collaborate with development teams to understand technical challenges and identify improvements
• Explore opportunities to apply AI tools and technologies to improve development processes, technical analysis, and solution delivery
• Quickly become familiar with unfamiliar technologies, systems, and business domains as project needs change
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate is an experienced, hands-on architect who combines strong technical knowledge with analytical thinking, curiosity, and good communication skills.
• Personal fit is particularly important. The candidate should be approachable, flexible, and comfortable discussing different technical options without becoming defensive or overly attached to a particular solution.
• We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in emerging technologies, especially AI, actively explores new tools and approaches, and is willing to experiment and learn.
• The current technology stack should serve as a starting point for candidate screening, but experience with specific technologies should not outweigh architectural thinking, adaptability, communication skills, and the ability to learn quickly.
• The goal is to establish a long-term working relationship with someone who can be relied upon for technical advice and support as projects, technologies, and business priorities evolve.
