What you will do:

• Investigate technical problems and incidents.
• Analyze databases as part of technical investigations.
• Read and analyze code to support troubleshooting and investigation.
• Collaborate with other engineers to understand application behavior.
• Identify and communicate root causes and possible solutions.
• Follow up on issues through to resolution.
• Collaborate with different teams and locations.
• Learn new technologies and components as needed to advance investigations.
• Navigate different application layers, connecting code and database information to build hypotheses and identify possible causes.
• Share knowledge with the rest of the team.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Good level of English for written and verbal communication with international teams.
• Senior-level experience in software engineering and development.
• Previous experience working in technical support teams or contexts.
• Strong investigation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze problems in a structured way, formulate hypotheses, and investigate until possible causes are identified.
• Knowledge of data structures and relational databases.
• Experience or knowledge of Oracle and MySQL.
• Experience with Java, considering the technical foundation of the Lyric Reporting area.
• Knowledge of PL/SQL.
• Ability to understand code and apply this knowledge during technical investigations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with engineers and teams.

Requirements

• Experience with other programming languages, such as Python, Node.js, C#, or similar.
• Knowledge of other relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with microservices-related technologies and concepts.
• Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines/tools, such as Jenkins.
• Experience with cloud environments, such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of techniques for building resilient and fault-tolerant systems, including rate limiting, circuit breakers, retry patterns, and exponential backoff.
• Familiarity with TDD and software quality practices.
